Irazú y Raul Gutierrez
The big band was created by the outstanding, saxophonist, flautist and composer Raúl Gutierrez in Germany in 1981. As of 1985 due to the insistence of the Cuban great drum player Tata Guines, Gutierrez begins to travel to Cuba, land where Irazú gets maturity, and many Cuban instrumentalists join the band. The band with more than twenty musicians on the stage was a praised spectacle to be one of the great ensembles of afro-American music.
